Runners
Runners in Cortex serve as production environments where Applications are deployed. After ensuring an Application's readiness through Node and Application Healthchecks, you can deploy your Application using Runners.
Runners can be created in Runners Page, where users have the capability to also stop and remove Runners. Runners Page also offers a Runners Table that gives a comprehensive view of all running, stopped and non-deleted Runners.
Runner Security is paramount, facilitated by Runner-level Vaults during the configuration phase, ensuring exclusive access for running or stopping Runners (cf. Utilizing Vaults in Applications and Runners).
You are billed for using Cortex depending on Runner Metrics: Costs are calculated using Runner Details; namely, CPU, RAM and Egress comsumptions of Runners.
For users beyond the $150 Free Trial, Runners require an already configured a t least one Cost Management setup, as this is where usage costs for Cortex are incurred. (cf. Cost Management)
This section of the guide is dedicated to elaborating on all Runner Settings, their functionalities, and how they can be leveraged to run and productionize multiple Applications. We begin with an overview of the Runners Page, where you can view and interact with all the Runners you've created.
